Started as an apprentice in 1979 for HOW Engineering Services and did a 5-year apprenticeship in plumbing.

"On the tools" till 1997, when I gained my teacher-training Cert Ed qualification and started teaching full-time. Taught plumbing and gas services, amongst other subjects, in a local FE college from 1997 to 2006 and then for a private training centre from 2006 till 2015. I then decided to start my own business.

I now teach 2 days a week and run my business outside these hours. I install and service all gas appliances and oil boilers, storage tanks and oil pipework, unvented systems amongst other things.
